Goa Carnival is a weeklong festival held in mid February. Carnival typically involves a public celebration or parade combining some elements like circus, mask and public street party. People often do different dress ups or masquerade during the celebrations, which marks an overturning of daily life.
Talking about Goa, it is India’s smallest state by area. It is Located in South West India in the region known as Konkan, it is bounded by the state of Maharashtra to the north, and by Karnataka to the east and south. The Goan people enjoy this Festival for it is very lively and passionate.
Among the many and various colorful feasts and festivals that are celebrated in Goa, the Goa Carnival is the most eagerly awaited event. Primarily celebrated by Christians, it is also absorbed by Hindus.
