The Modern dance is a more relaxed,and free style of dance in which choreographers use emotions and moods to design their own steps Because it the Combination of the Western and Indian Steps, in contrast to ballet’s structured code of steps.Because of the common history, the two forms (classical ballet and modern art) share a same terminology and structure. Modern dance is a term that applies to a various of different disciplines, all with subtly different steps, that responded to the imperialism of ballet through varying,culture specific factors.
Modern dance is usually performed in bare feet, and also it often with non traditional costuming.Modern dance is a dance was developed in the early 20th century. Although the term Modern dance has also been applied to a category of ballroom dances, It is also as a term usually reffers to 20th century concert dance.
The important feature of Indian Modern dance is a combination of western and Indian steps and art.It is obviously a recent entry into Indian dance. It was formed by Uday Shankar ji (Bhai)of Pandit Ravi Shankar ji, the famous sitar Vadak(maestro). And there are others who have contributed towards the development of Indian Modern Dance, Uday Shankar ji is known as the creature (father) of Indian Modern dance.
