Khajuraho Temple is located in Khajuraho City in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, located in Chhatarpur District, about 620 kilometres southeast of Delhi (India). Khajuraho is the one of the most popular tourist destinations in India.
Khajuraho temples were constructed between 950 and 1050 A.D. during the reign of Chandel Empire. Khajuraho derives its name from the Khajur tree (the date palm tree) which can be found in abundance in the area. These temples are considered the “high point” of Indian architectural genius in the Medieval period.
Khajuraho has the largest group of Hindu and Jain temples,famous for their erotic sculpture. Khajuraho is a fascinating place with a rich cultural heritage. It is one of the most popular tourist places of India. The Temple has many handmade designs which is the attraction of this temple.
