SCULPTURES OF INDIA
Sculptures of India stretch back to the historic periods of Indus Valley Civilizations. One of the most ancient sculptures are namely stone and bronze carvings. Later on, India produced some temple carvings with the development of Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism.
Some huge shrines, such as the one at Ellora were not actually constructed using blocks, but instead carved out of rock, making them perhaps the largest and most intricate sculptures in the world.
