Chittaurgarh Fort

Chittorgarh Fort or as called in Rajasthani language, The Chittorgarh Qila is the largest fort in India and the grandest in the state of Rajasthan. The Chittorgarh fort is plainly known as Chittor, which was the capital of Mewar. It was ruled initially by Guhilot and later by Sisodias, the Suryavanshi of Chattori Rajputs, from Seventh century, and it was finally abandoned in 1568 after the siege by great Emperor Akbar.

Vivekananda Rock

The Vivekananda Rock is a sacred monument and a popular tourist attraction place located in Vavathurai, in Kanyakumari (India). The Vivekanada memorial stands on one of two rocks located about 500 meters off mainland of Vavathurai. It was built in 1970 by the Vivekananda Rock Committee in honour of the visit of the great spiritual teacher Swami Vivekananda ji to Shripada Parai during the December month in 1892 for deep meditation. He swam to this rock and meditated about the past, present and future of India.

Humayun Tomb

Humayun’s tomb or Humayun ka Maqbara, is the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun. In 1562 CE the tomb was commissioned by his wife Hamida Bano Begum, and designed by Mirak Mirza Ghiyath, a Persian architect. It was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. It is located in Nizamuddin in Delhi (India), and close to the Dina-panah citadel also called as Purana Qila, that Humayun founded in 1533.

Mysore Palace

Gol Gumbad

Gol Gumbad also called as Gol Gumbaz is situated in Bijapur District in Karnataka, being the second largest dome int he world, it is 124 feet in diameter. It was built in 1659 by the famous architect Yaqut of Dabul. It has a remarkable architecture, the four “minars” are the staircases itself which lead to the top dome. The structure consists of a square chamber measuring nearly 50 m on each side and covered by a huge dome 44 m.
